Roaming with Moose Studios

About
The Full Story
Heather and Joe, originally from New York, first crossed paths in the Hudson Valley at SUNY New Paltz in 2018—unaware that their story had, in fact, begun much earlier. As fate would have it, they had unknowingly shared a preschool classroom on Long Island decades before.
After graduating with degrees in digital media production, the two set off on their first series of adventures together, a journey that would ultimately lead them to Iceland in 2021, where they got engaged beneath a waterfall and volcanic peaks.
Between their engagement and wedding, they moved into their first apartment just north of Manhattan, where they welcomed Moose—their loyal and goofy companion—into their growing family. Then, in the fall of 2023, they were married. Shortly after, they set off on a month-long honeymoon to New Zealand, a final breath of calm before everything changed.
Just days after returning to the States, they stumbled across a 25-foot-long school bus on eBay Motors—and without hesitation, placed their bid. Their passion for travel had reached a boiling point, and what better way to see the country—and begin searching for a place to plant roots—than by turning a school bus into a full-time home on wheels?
There was just one small problem: neither of them had ever built anything before.
From January to November, they threw themselves into the deep end. Five days a week they worked full-time jobs, and every weekend, they made a two-hour round-trip to build the bus—sunup to sundown, and often well into the night. They took just one weekend off to celebrate their anniversary. Otherwise, it was rinse and repeat for nearly a year.
At last, they were ready to set sail—but not before adopting Maple, a mischievous puppy with perfect timing. Training a new dog while figuring out life on the road? Why not.
Now, nearly a year in, they’ve found their footing—weathered, road-tested, and ready for anything the open road throws their way. Roaming with Moose is more than a lifestyle—it’s a creative mission.
Blending their love of the arts, storytelling, and years of experience behind the camera, Heather and Joe are here to help bring your story to life. Whether it’s a wedding, an adventure, or a quiet moment worth remembering—they’d be honored to tell it with you.
